By accessing or using the RentThis platform, website, or any associated services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions stated herein, you may not access or use our services. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use of the platform following any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes. 2. Use of Service
RentThis provides a peer-to-peer marketplace that connects equipment owners with renters. You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You may not use the service to list, rent, or facilitate transactions involving illegal items or activities. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to any user who violates these terms or engages in conduct that we determine, at our sole discretion, to be harmful to other users or to the integrity of the platform.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features of the platform, you must create an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify RentThis immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain inaccurate information or that have been used in violation of these terms.
4. Rental Transactions
All rental transactions conducted through the RentThis platform are agreements between the equipment owner (lister) and the renter. RentThis acts as an intermediary facilitating the connection and payment processing but is not a party to the rental agreement itself. Both parties are responsible for accurately describing the condition of equipment, adhering to agreed-upon rental periods, and resolving disputes in good faith. RentThis may, at its discretion, assist in dispute resolution but is under no obligation to do so.
5. Liability
RentThis is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the condition, safety, or suitability of any equipment listed on the platform. To the fullest extent permitted by law, RentThis shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, or loss of revenue. Users assume all risk associated with rental transactions.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the RentThis platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software, is the property of RentThis or its content suppliers and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or otherwise exploit any content from the platform without prior written consent from RentThis.
7. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the platform at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms of Service. Upon termination, your right to use the platform will immediately cease. All provisions of these terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
